For one of our clients providing innovative offshore solutions, we are looking for a Structural Hull Discipline Lead Engineer to oversee various aspects of hull engineering in FPSO projects from design to execution.

Tasks & responsibilities:
Lead a team of Structural Hull Engineers and Designers, overseeing their work in providing structural analysis, 3D modeling, construction drawings, and construction support for offshore units.
Conduct strength verifications for both tanker conversions and new build hulls of FPSO projects ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Drive the structural and naval design process for tanker conversions and new build hulls, contributing to the overall success of FPSO projects.
Provide essential support to the Technology Development department, actively participating in the introduction of new products and technologies to the market within the FPSO and Renewable product lines.
Collaborate with the vessel acquisition department, offering expertise in the selection of donor tankers for conversion to FPSO and Renewable projects.
Coordinate and execute 3D drawings of hull structures and marine equipment for FPSO projects, ensuring precision and accuracy in design.
Conduct offshore inspections of tankers and offer yard support during conversion and new build projects, ensuring the structural integrity and quality of the hulls.
Function as a Principal Structural Hull Engineer when required, bringing advanced expertise to key aspects of the structural discipline.
Interface with clients, project management, other disciplines, procurement, construction, classification bureaus, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Assume responsibility for the project budget, progress, and quality of the discipline scope, demonstrating strong project management skills.
Requirements Structural Hull - Discipline Lead Engineer
Master's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent Professional Certification, in Offshore Structures/Naval Architecture with a specialisation in structural analysis of floating structures.
Approximately 10 years of relevant working experience in the field of floating structural design, with at least 3 years in a leading role.
Strong management and communication skills.
Very good knowledge of the floating structure design process, covering the conceptual phase to the construction phase.
Good experience and technical knowledge of structural analysis of global and local hull structures.
Familiarity with rules of classification societies (e.g., ABS, DNV GL, BV, and Lloyds).
Experience in Engineering & Design of floating units in the Oil & Gas industry.
Knowledge of structural interfaces with related disciplines, including mooring structure integrations, topside integrations, and other equipment integrations.
Preferably, experience in ABS hull software ISE/TSA and finite element software FEMAP.
Preferably, experience with MS Visual Basic programming.
Professional communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
