As Functional Application Specialist, Dynamics AX you are responsible for functional support of the ERP system Dynamics AX within the global Smit Lamnalco organization. Supporting the ERP and functional related applications, where acting as a contact point towards the business and stakeholders. Responsibility will be taken to execute support and maintain the system(s) across the organization, in alignment with strategy and priorities.
Roles and responsibilities
Delivering hands-on support for Dynamics AX and functional related applications
Understand, plan and deliver the assigned tasks with accuracy to meet the stakeholders needs in a timely manner;
Complete tasks in compliance with applicable standards and work procedures;
Properly plan his/her work to allow adequate time for stakeholder feedback and adjustments to ensure intended functionality;
Liaise, advice and work together with colleagues with regards to the assigned business applications;
Identify areas requiring more detailed instructions and clarify as necessary to prevent surprises;
Identify areas for potential issues and proactively communicate to resolve issues, share information and provide guidance as required;
Seek clarification or guidance as soon as difficulties arise and recommend alternative solutions;
Perform thorough self-check of all solutions prior to release for use by stakeholders;
What you bring to succeed in this position;
Experience with Dynamics AX applications is a must. Another ERP is a pré;
Experience of 2-5 years of application management;
Higher professional education, preferably in a Finance or IT field;
General understand of IT Infrastructure and software development.
A problem solving attitude;
Be self-motivated to improve competencies for the assigned work;
Feel comfortable with giving trainings, writing instructions, answering phone calls and emails or speaking in front of a group;
Ability to ensure solutions are communicated and documented in a manner that is easily understood by others;
Ensure solutions are thoroughly tested prior to release for use by stakeholders; avoid cutting corners;
Strong social skills and a large customer service focus;
Work accurate and give attention to details;
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbally);
