The Team
The Creative Services department is responsible for the architectural & interior design of showrooms, wellness & workplaces for PVH. The department subsequently works hand in hand with country-based Project Managers in order to execute and deliver dedicated projects.
With regards to showrooms, the team is responsible for the design, execution & delivery of seasonal concepts, which change four times a year. The team drives this on a global scale for Tommy Hilfiger and on a European scale for Calvin Klein & Nike Underwear.
Creative Services is also responsible for the design & roll-out of digital showrooms globally & the design of HQ/ wholesale architectural projects.
The Position
As Manager of showroom concepts & design, you will devise seasonal display concepts in support of the seasonal collections, in line with the global design brief and divisional merchandising & VM requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Research on given themes and/or product focuses
Communication with Divisional merchandising teams in order to identify/ define the seasonal product focuses & all related VM requirements
Draw up concepts & upon internal sign off, translating these into tangible & budgeted designs
Manage the execution & delivery of these concepts to the Amsterdam flagship showrooms as well as supporting by remote for delivery to global showroom locations (30+)
Communication with peers in the countries to support said local execution & delivery
Manage all related sourcing, tendering & budgeting as well as all related project schedules and (internal/ external) communication
Be the source of innovative ideas & solutions as well as the departmental point person for showroom related enquiries
The Ideal Candidate:
You are an experienced Spatial Designer with around 6 years of relevant work experience in devising concepts & managing design projects (experience in the field of retail/ windows/ VM or events is a plus). You bring full proficiency in design programs (SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite are a must. Vray, AutoCAD is a plus).
A bachelor/master's degree in Architecture/Interior design or equivalent experience.
You are a natural people person, fully at ease interacting with all levels of the organization, both in written & verbal form.
You are an excellent communicator, both entirely comfortable listening to internal requests (effectively clients’ briefs) as well as conveying clear creative direction to all parties, both internal & external.
You possess an absolute eye for detail & perfection as well as are thoroughly organized & capable of working on multiple projects at the same time.
You are able to design “to budget” and have awareness of the financial & scheduling impact of any decision made.
You have project management experience & are able to work to deadlines, according to project schedules agreed with the coordinators & planners.
You have a keen interest in the subject of sustainability and are actively willing, together with the team, to seek innovative solutions & alternative proposals to the many project components in order for Creative Services to meet its carbon footprint reduction targets.
You are flexible in your approach to projects & the related working schedules, understanding that some week-end/ evening work will invariably be required close to project delivery.
Lastly, you are fully up to date with developments in the field, in tune with competitors, in synch with your time & able to apply all this knowledge to your projects.
