Risk Technology and its integration within the capabilities of an organization in Banking and Insurance business sector has been continuously evolving over the last decade. Our clients are seeking to streamline their risk processes, automate their workflows, stay up-to-date with the Regulatory Framework updates/changes, as well as comply to their obligations and timely produce their work.

The opportunity

Our team aims to support Financial Services organizations to perform their risk related tasks efficiently, by implementing technology-enabled solutions based on our third - party platforms and related tools, providing them with robust infrastructure, which focuses not only on the operational aspects of the tasks, but also on the underlying methodologies, processes and data. Our projects typically involve managing multiple stakeholders, coordinating with them to analyze their requirements while considering the regulatory authorities and the corresponding framework, and therefore provide them with the most robust, efficient, and streamlined solution.

Your key responsibilities:

Support our clients to elevate current business processes and risk methodologies, by performing target state analysis, developing methodologies and business requirements, as well as developing functional and technical specifications.

Design and implementation of risk processes including regulatory reporting and risk measures calculations in the areas of Financial Risk Management and Asset & Liability Management (ALM), using technologies such as SQL, Python, No -SQL, as well as vendor risk systems and tools

Implementation of risk management solutions including configuration, customization, solution development and integration

Provide the configuration, customization and integration of reporting solutions/software, for the generation of regulatory reports/disclosures in various formats (excel, xbrl)

Produce user manuals and provide training to end users

Communicate, provide guidance, and establish professional and trust relationships with clients

Skills and attributes for success

High level of professionalism with ability to work in challenging, diverse and evolving client environments

Quick learner, showing flexibility and adaptability in new situations and fast-paced environments

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek; other languages will be considered an asset

Strong team working skills are essential

Proactive, dedicated and determined to excel professionally

To qualify for the role, you must have

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, science or engineering.

Familiarity with technologies and programming languages such as SQL, Python, ETL tools (e.g. MS SSIS), MS Office

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a team of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds

Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek; other languages will be considered an asset

Ideally, you will also have

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Financial Risk Management, Business Analytics, Information Technology, etc.

Knowledge of key financial regulatory concepts (e.g., CRR/CRD, ALM, IRRBB, COREP, FINREP, LCR/NSFR).

Knowledge of key banking concepts (products, services) and/or risk quantification methodologies

Programming knowledge or relevant experience/training (e.g. in Python, Java, C#).

Background in consulting environment.
